The cacao origin
Wampusirpi is a remote community deep in La Mosquitia — the largest tropical rainforest north of the Amazon, on the eastern border of Honduras. Here, Indigenous Miskito and Tawahka communities have cultivated wild cacao for generations using zero synthetic inputs.
Unlike plantation cacao, Mosquitia cacao grows beneath the canopy of old-growth forest. No clearing. No monoculture. The trees regenerate naturally alongside hundreds of species of wildlife in one of the most biodiverse corridors on earth.
"When you buy this chocolate, you are not just buying a product. You are choosing to keep a rainforest standing."
